Inclusive, Supportive, & Evidenced-based Care For Your Birth, Postpartum, & Bereavement Experience

What Is A Doula?

A Doula is a non-clinical professional who is trained to provide emotional, physical, and informational support to birthing people.

What type of Doula is Crystal?

I am a full-spectrum doula! This means that I am trained to work with birthing people during pregnancy/ birth, bereavement, and postpartum.

What are the benefits to hiring a Doula?

Research shows having a doula support your birth decreases time spent in labor, reduces fear and anxiety surrounding birth, decreases the rate of medical interventions, improves bonding between the mom and baby, improves breastfeeding success, helps improve partner support, and empowers mom to make informed decisions about her care.

Why hire Crystal as your birth, bereavement, and postpartum Doula?

I have years of work and training experience in the maternal health space, working primarily as a Maternal Mental Health Therapist and Certified Lactation Counselor. The first hand experience of getting pregnant and facing medical challenges both with mom and baby, struggling to adjust to new motherhood and breastfeeding brings comfort to clients as the normalcy of these experiences are familiar and lived. I lead with empathy and compassion and practice through the lens that we are all capable, we are all worthy of our desired experiences. When things don’t go as planned, I believe that there’s so much healing and joy that is still attainable. It’s my pleasure to walk this journey with families and offer the encouragement to lean into the things that bring the most comfort to move through their journey to parenthood.
